And people on the left are having a meltdown because evidently Jen Psaki is the only person who knows how to deal with Newsmax, OAN, and Fox. Don’t get me wrong. I love her to death and every day, she is demonstrating just how to deal with these a-holes. It isn’t complicated. Here’s her formula:
- Be prepared. Have a good staff that keeps her well informed about the key issues.
- Anticipate the kind of BS questions she will get from these wacko media outlets. It really isn’t that hard. You can simply turn on the teevee. Fox and company always have daily talking points. You know what they are going to ask.
- Challenge the predicate. When they say “some people are saying ...” ask them exactly WHO is saying and what is the factual basis for such statements?
- Turn the ridiculous question into a meaningful discussion of what the Biden administration wants to accomplish and why.
That’s it. She doesn’t have to get into fights. She just smiles and follows this 4-step process and the RW idiots have nothing. And they never will have anything because they only deal in platitudes, slogans, falsehoods, innuendo, and statements out of context. Asking them to state relevant facts ends every one of these discussions.
I love Jen Psaki. I mean I really adore her. But it shows just how inept Democrats have been at messaging.
I want her to leave. But before she leaves, I want her to train a whole generation of Democrats how to deal with these right wing aholes. I want her to develop 50 people who can step up to that podium and do just as well as she does. And then I want her to move on to training every #^%$&% Democratic Representative and Senator to learn this simple formula and apply it every day in every conversation. Then I want her to move on to the states and teach everybody else how it is done.
She is too important to remain in this job. The ladies will save our democracy.
