What Trump has done is far beyond party and ideology, it is time the “Living 5” come together and put an end to this. I give W credit for both being very respectful to the office after his term and for breaking his silence, even in a little way this week. But now that Trump has put out the charges about Obama wire-tapping Trump, it is time for the 5 to act for the sake of the nation.
They all know Obama didn’t order a wiretap as a political act. If there was a wiretap, it was because a court ordered it for good reason. These 5 should come together, get a full briefing from the CIA and FBI and then stand together before the people on prime time TV. The outcome should be a call for immediate impeachment of this President if he will not resign on his own, and arrest of Bannon and the other treasonous Russian operatives.
It should be easy to get the Bushes to agree to this because this would have the effect of turning the government over to Pence, Ryan and McConnell. Carter, Clinton, and Obama would have to do it only for love of country. But they really must act now.And all 5 need to stand together so that every last American understand this is not about divided politics. It is about treason and the survival of our democracy.
